They are explained in Statute 167.019 which prohibits Internet gaming operators from accepting any form of payment from the citizens in Oregon. The law indicates that these operators cannot accept payment in form of credit cards, funds
transferred electronically or even checks. Failure to comply is a class C felony that attracts a $1,000 fine. This blocks out virtual casinos and makes online gambling illegal.

In the state of Oregon, you have to be over the age of 18 to participate in the lottery or the racetracks. In addition to that, you need to be over the age of 21 years old to play games in the tribal casinos. Gambling activities in this state are regulated by the Oregon State Police Tribal Gaming Section. Furthermore, statute 167.166 (7) clearly defines illegal gambling in this state.
